What can’t you do? — Poem №29
A Therapeutic Poetry Series
What can’t you do?
Your strength is true
There’s no one else that can be you
One of a kind
You’d lose your mind
Watching another flying blind
Playing your role in life
Navigating your strife
Going under the knife?
Imagine someone giving up
Deciding on new dreams
Then bursting at the seams
And failing harshly
Screams
Of frustration just watching this
Your life is yours, the pain and bliss
Watching it pass should feel amiss
One life we get to live
Surrender, trust, forgive
Yeah things may not be perfect
But living on is worth it
I’m glad you’re here
Though it’s not clear
Exactly why
I hope you try
To make the most
To feel engrossed
In everyday
Find states of play
And say what’s on your chest
Because you are the best
You
There could be
Life’s full of possibilities
Realities
Are yours to make
Each chance you cross
Is your to take
Life has it lows
That’s how it goes
But one thing that I must propose
Take it down a notch or two
There’s only so much you can do
Can you let go?
Make room to grow?
You’re so amazing, don’t you know?
